Omo National Park

Omo is Ethiopia's largest most remote park and is not easily accessible.  In fact, it is probably one of the most remote National Parks in the world.

Omo National Park, which was established in 1966, is located on the west bank of the Omo River and covers approximately 2,527 square miles.  It is home to many animals including Buffalo, Cheetah, Eland, Elephants, Giraffes, Leopards, Lions, Zebras and over 306 species of birds.  The park is also home to some of Ethiopia's native tribes including the Dizi, Me'en, Mursi, Nyangatom and Suri people.
