This trip takes you to the hot spring resort of Sodore, about 120km from Addis Ababa. With an Olympic-sized naturally heated swimming pool, it is a popular place for locals to relax, especially at the weekends. The riverine vegetation along the Awash River also offers the opportunity to spot monkeys, hippos and many species of birds.
This is a day trip from Addis Ababa. In the morning, you will meet with your driver and guide either at our office in the Itegue Taitu Hotel (near the Piaza) or at your hotel, by prior arrangement. The journey to Sodore takes just under two hours. You'll then have most of the day to enjoy the hot springs, swimming and forest walks before returning to Addis Ababa in the late afternoon/evening.
